It's been a month since I came here and I miss you guys a whole lot.

It's not that life here isn't great - it's good, ups and downs, as I tell everyone - but it's really hard to be taken away from 2 years of such amazingly comfortable friendships and be thrown into this new friendship phase with everyone else around you all over again. There's no one in the flesh I can really talk to just yet, and definitely no one I feel comfortable in all my silliness and nonsense with! It's probably going to take some time, as these things go.

hey guys,

firstly one big ARGH at you all for not responding to my class dinner post. we need to meet up!

secondly, i have a big announcement to make! see, this year viknesh, natbala and i started off with a grand ambition to stage our own play. well, we've finally gotten this project off the ground and we're actually doing it!

We're staging "God's Favorite" by Neil Simon (it's a f-ing hilarious comedy) at the Substation on the 28th (Saturday) and 29th (Sunday) of July at 7pm (Sat Night, Sun Night) and 2pm (Sun Afternoon only).

Please, please, please come and watch us because this is such an indie production. We literally cobbled the money for it by ourselves. Vik and Nat directed it. I did the production work (i.e jolo slave labour), ticketing, etc and it starts brilliant people too. David de Winne is our lead (for sake of Quality!), ditto Matthew Crawshaw, Ankita (AA3), Ethel Yap (AHR) and Jill Ng (SE1) all star in it too. We've even got non-ACSian Theatre actors (including Ethel and Jill...who are damn good really!) who aren't from ACJC. We've got a J2 guy from ACS(I) named Johannes and an ex-CJC girl named Iz who are also acting in this. Also, we're so poor and broke now it hurts!

Tickets are $20 for the 7pm shows and $15 for the 2pm Sunday show.

I really really hope you guys can make it down! Please come watch!

hello people! i don't know how many of you still read this but a couple of us are trying to plan a short holiday to phuket around 1-4 july.

i suppose it will be an all girls outing since our dear boys are still slaving away in army. heh. so if you're interested do let me know asap! the tickets there and back will be around $209 per person. that's the best deal i've found so far, and we'lll be flying by tigerairways. yup. i'm not too sure about the cost of the hotel stay but tiff has connections so it should be cheaper (:

i hope all of us can go! it'll be like massive zoo excursion :D

hi guys, here's a little update on what has been going on in my life (if anyone's interested) lol.
I now have another ex-boyfriend to add to the list, yes, for those who have met him, he's not mine anymore. well since like quite a while ago anyway, but i broke the record! gee, now i sound like a skank. ok nvm,

anyway,
i'll be reading Economics at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in Perth. it's one of the best universities in the Group of Eight so i think i'm really thankful for that. So to answer Charissa' question, i'm in UWA's Business School. Australia's system is different, it isn't meritous honours but invitational so i'm hoping to actually qualify for it and hopefully major in Investment Finance & perhaps International Business. haven't really decided on that yet though and i'm not sure if i can get in, its a really demanding and tough programme and we all know i'm not exactly Joshua Hiew or Judith Jacob. hee. I was mildly entertaining the thought of doing a double degree in Economics & Education but that would mean that I would be like lancey, an Econs tutor. mmmm. okay not really me anyway, i'm done serving time in barker. (can you imagine me teaching? hmmmm)

i'll be leaving for Perth in July, July 8 on the 9am flight. I'm flying Qantas and i really dont know what to pack inside cos i just want to bring my whole house there.

btw, PLEASE do get a facebook account so i can easily keep in touch with every one of you. i know nut, judith, mark and limmy already have an account. please get an account at http://www.facebook.com/ and we can be poke buddies. i think ya'll will find this amusing.
around the same time that i applied to georgetown, i applied to carnegie mellon which is apparently the best architecture school in the world (at the time, i didn't know all this) on a whim because i thought it would be fun to be an architect. i submitted a portfolio of work from my aep days and then promptly forgot about the rest of my application because seriously, i don't want to be an architect. but yesterday! lo and behold! apparently i have been accepted DESPITE not writing any essays, DESPITE not really paying for the application, DESPITE not sending in any SAT scores, DESPITE not doing math or physics or chem (apparently mandatory requirements for architecture) which leaves me to believe that the us universities, are a) desperate for students b) can't tell the difference between math and economics, georgraphy and chemistry and history and physics for that matter and c) don't really have stringent admissions officers (:

in any case, my lack of faith in the us university system is being reinforced because i'm meeting all my new classmates over on facebook, and lets face it, none of 'em seem too intelligent because one of them asked me "like do you reeeeeeaaaaally live in Singapore?" judith would like to respond to such assinine statements with "like no biatch, i actually liked and i come from madagascar". seriously wtf. so much for best foreign service school in the states. urgh. am so going to miss ya'll. yes, even you ying yi. please write to me and keep me sane from all these "like, you know" type of people

Hey AA2! Is everyone up for having TWO aa2 gatherings for March? One each for both Royston and Judith! :D

Mr Woolhead will be performing with his Celtic band, Gan Ainm ("no name"), at the Esplanade Concourse (6.30 - 7pm) & the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre (8 - 8.45pm) on the 18th of March (Sunday) for the Mosaic Music Festival (How cool is that!). Let's make that a stop for our 18th of March gathering to celebrate Judith's birthday!

For Royston's birthday, let's get together again on the 25th of March (the next Sunday after that) - blog/message ideas for programmes for both nights here/to me/to everybody!

Oh and, congratulations everyone - we made it through the As, together. :) Wouldn't have made it any way else.

i have been relief teaching at sc and although i enjoy conducting lessons when i think of creative and fun things to do, i must say that it can get quite boring and stressful sometimes. so i'm thinking twice about teaching as a career. yup.

hi guys,

i just wanted to let ya'll know that i got into Georgetown University [] on my early decision programme so i'll be heading to washington d.c in september 2007 to become a hoya (apparently that's what Georgetown students are called, it's greek for god-knows-what) as part of the class of 2011. i'll be hopefully studying international politics and economics in the school of foreign service. and for royston's sake it's a catholic school run by the Jesuits (i.e the really really really really intellectual catholics). royston, you can be assured that firstly, sitting next to you probably had some subconscious transference that i wound up in a catholic institution and secondly, i have to study theology and "the question of god" as part of my first year module (:

more over, i wanted to thank you guys for all the support you've given me these last two years and i don't think i could've done any of this without having been in 2aa2. if any of you get the chance come visit me in up in D.C on a holiday (i'll miss you guys terribly!). i've gotten offers from most of my UK universities but some how studying in LSE and the likes in london or nottingham or warwick isn't as appealing as the US. though if cambridge says yes it'll be a whole new kettle of fish. in any case, love you all loads and merry christmas!

im missing all of you alotalot, really!
but i know if we actually meet up or something, we'd totally go nuts and screw up the time we have during the hols.
we're halfway through the june hols (no waay!) , and i know there are lots of us who actually thought we had so much time, or we just couldn't get down to work properly for the past two weeks.
i know im definitely one of them.darn.
but looking on the brightside, (because there's really no other way to look)

Posting simply cuz it's been such a long time since someone has! :P

While I'm here though, I'd just like to say - thanks a huge bunch guys, for today. Ha oh I know it's not a big deal, quite random actually, but I was honestly quite touched by the positive comments you made when we were discussing (my!) career direction -

You guys are too sweet.
Outside of my parents, you might just be the people who believe in me the most.
I couldn't be more grateful. :)

And the best thing is, I know this particular incident is really just a signifier, an indicator of the larger faith that the entire class has in each other! We all firmly believe in each other, we all know everyone else is going to go far in life, is going to be successful -by their own terms - and is going to be so mega-fulfilled in whatever they each choose to do and pursue.

And we're all going to be there, right behind them, cheering and giving moral support, complete with pom poms! (Maybe Jing can teach us some funky cheerleading routine to go with... bring it on gone wrong! :x )

let me explain why i will not be in school for the next few days.
okay.
so here i am, at cheerleading practice at toa payoh stadium. the plug in point is right on top of the bleachers, so i lug my laptop up there and work on the music. then when i was done, i transferred it into my thumbdrive and wanted to tansfer it into a laptop that was at the bottom of the bleachers. stupidly, i decided to run in an excited manner. i was flying off the 3rd last step when i completely missed the 2nd last step. one foot landed on the laptop on the 1st step (which happen to be the highest) and the other midair. result : laptop flew and so did i. i landed on my side on the concrete floor of the stadium, face first, leading to severe abrasion on the entire left side on my face. now i look like the bride of frankenstein! ahhhh.

so thats the grand story of the greatest fall of all time.

on a positive note, i was actually falling head first but i managed to break my fall. its angels, i tell you. the pain was real horrid but i made it to the hospital, the xrays and thank God, doc says everything is okay. the devil cant win. muahaha!

Okay, honestly? seriously?
i was sorely tempted to fall asleep during Tempest if not for the excitement and anticipation of watching gwen and angie amongst others dance. okay, and also cos of david, darius and that girl who was pretty good. my, my, watching gwen and angie dance, my eyes were solely trained upon them as they took the stage. i recognised several *cough* familiar moves but nonetheless when gwen was centrestage i was positively lusting after her. so damn hotstuff. abiel has a super hot girlfriend and angie has duper nice hair. hahahah! awesome job guys! :P

dear aa2.

you know how i know you guys are working hard, not being disruptive, focusing more, (contrary to what, i shall hence forth refer to as 'that woman' , says) and are generally way better people and students than what that woman thinks? it's quite simple really.

i'm not pissed off! i'm not angry! i'm not irate and annoyed about the fact that no one's disrupting my learning process. don't you think that i'm a good barometer? i mean, i'd be the first person to flip out and looked fucking pissed off during a lesson should people be jacking off and doing other shit, but really, i've been happy (ok, that's reeeeaaally subjective) this term as well as the last 2 or 3 weeks of the term before. hence i can safely say that no one is screwing round exceptionally!

good work guys! keep up the good work at not getting ju pissed. rock on. it means you're learning.

fret not, i do have a point in blogging here! this is for history students who enjoy banal factoids like i do. remember how everyone [i hope everyone was and not just me, otherwise i'd be totally strange] was wondering why the japanese were trying to assasinate the jews or something like that? it was during the class that we were talking about the munich olympic hostage taking [btw, does anyone want to see munich?]. well i went and found out the rationale and here it is...

ok the japanese have this group of communist rebel type dudes known as the japanese red army [sound vaguely familar, you know like the prc's red army, the russian's red army...communists are totally unoriginal] who are good friends with the popular front for liberation of palestine [PFLP]. they've been carrying out terrorist attacks since their formation in 1971. they've got really random goals though, they want to overthrow the japanese government, overthrow the japanese monarchy AND start a world revolution. ambitious, ambitious folks. i mean they're not content with just overthrowing the government, they want World Revolution [wtf!!!!]. the best thing is, NONE, and i mean NONE of these goals have anything to do with Israel!!! just cos they're friends with the PFLP [which is a sucky group lah, the PLA kicks more ass, no one's ever heard of the PFLP] they attack jews.
their most famous attack was really the lod airport massacre on may 30, 1972. They had a machine gun and grenade attack on israel's lod airport in tel aviv, now ben gurion international airport, and killed 26 people and about 80 others were injured. two of the three attackers then killed themselves with grenades. and people now speculate that this act inspired later palestinian suicide attacks. and no one knows why!!! they're so so random!
they took a bunch of malaysians hostage (hahaha! jamie's malaysian brothers), hijacked a bunch of random airlines (like some new dehli plane on the way to india...as if the indians have any money to pay you! you should hijack rich benevolent nations, like sweden, they'll pay) and my personal favourite, bombed Mitsubishi's headquaters in Tokyo.
anyway, they kinda ran out of steam by the 1980s, cos the loser PFLP stopped funding them.
this is what i really don't like, irrelevant terrorists, if you've got a cause say what it is and don't f-ing mess up in other people's business, i mean seriously, what did malaysia, india and israel do to you, you losers? stupid fools. i don't like stupid people but stupid terrorists really really piss me off.

hello aa2 (: tee hee 6 ppl didn't go to sch today. anyway, as the stresses of j2 life begin to build up, i really hope that we can remain united and committed to doing well and enjoying every bit of sch. sometimes i really hate being j2 cos of the A levels and i really don't want to leave when the time comes cos i know life will be so different without seeing u guys and partying and picnicing in our happy hut all day (: but u guys make life easier and more worth it. so let's just SUCK IT UP as pearl would say and keep at it!! Limmy honestly doesn't know what she'd do without aa2. aa2 plays such a big part in making everyday school joyful and meaningful, in making crazy schedules and heavy workloads bearable - Limmy can't imagine jc life without them, and she doesn't think she'd survive it without them anyway.

Yet, it seems that aa2 oftentimes ends up bearing the brunt of Limmy's *eruptions* and bad behaviour. aa2 has many a time had to suffer Limmy's *tandrums*, *whining/complaining*, or even just simply discouraging or depressing personal behaviour, when they didn't deserve to be treated that way - and Limmy apologises, sincerely. If anything, aa2 is usually the saving grace, the breath of fresh air amidst all of the day's frustrations. Limmy's so thankful for the tolerance and understanding that the rest of aa2 has shown to her.

But even greater than these is the love and support aa2 has given Limmy this past year or so. It is aa2 that gives Limmy much stength to carry on, just by sharing a smile, making her laugh, letting her know we're all in this together, being there, or even just calling her name. How these simple actions get transfered into the energy and the will to carry on, Limmy doesn't know or understand, but she likes to think it's a gift, a power our Father in heaven has given to mankind so that we can look out for and take care of each other, keep each other going.

Arts Night was cool. the part where the girls 'fainted' when sonic sang was totally hilarious. thanks guys.. i could hear you. truly! (: and it felt so warming.
i thought jing and tiff looked really hot and classy and angie looked so seductive. HURHURHUR.

haha how the freak do you blog this is my first time hope it's reversible! anyway! today was wicked awesome in judith's house! i officially declare that 2aa2 is a class full of pigs but what the heck we are loving and caring pigs and that's all that matters ! ok we just ate ice creams/cakes/pies/pizzas/chips/cheeses/breads/BANANAS! :D
im just adding an S to everything cos you know we don't eat just one of each item.
KAY! mark, charissa, fishball, jing, judith, royston, angela and ol me played some game called TABOO which
is dam freakin fun! it's like the pyramid game but less tense cos no 100000 buck cheque at the end of the
game! well the team with marissa was blessed cos one of marissa's hidden talents is this Taboo game,
congratulations marissa. I'm not sure what happend for some moments cos Judith's house is just so comfy i
fell asleep all over the place even her floor thanks JUJU :D
Ju chased us out after that cos she hada go for drama and im like what the freak fine! haha! kidding. well
jing, fb, angie, kuku and i wanted to go town k boxing but in the end we ended up stuffing our face again?
so what the heck just eat lah! this time we ate sushi i thought it was super duper gruesome. disgusting man.
i've never tasted such rubbery sushi my whole life. ok at least Jing really had the time of her life eating her
soggy and rubbery california handroll. it's like u can take it rub on table and use it as eraser.
alrighty! we finished eating and we went to kai kai! :D which means walk walk btw. yah charissa and i were
dying to go topshop to see what's in fashion this season as usual the 70% discount rack was full of size 14 and
above clothes or those hideous rejects where designers try to be innovative and creative but produce
something far from the word pretty.
YES! so angie and i found this GLORIOUS skirt but noooooo it had tocost like 93 bucks wth trying to rip me
off or what. i'd rather ask my ggrandmother to sew me some threads. yah then they sold a diff colour at the
discount rack but like i said it's another term for overweight rack so they only had size 14 and above which
means that the skirt would slide down my child-bearing hips. la la la! :(
it's 11.51 i better sleep soon! TODAY WAS GREAT OVERALL! I LOVE U AA2!

funorama 18 was such a blast. and i couldn't imagine having done it with any other class but u guys (: hahaha yup from crawling around on the roads to setting up fake crossfires to dunking teachers to sitting at the super boring supermarket to sell um stuff and to every last min of carrying coconuts, pineapples and dancing on stage. yup. haha.
